Zenpark doesn't keep the data of accounts that are no longer used indefinitely: this is a GDPR requirement. An account that has been inactive for several years is therefore deleted, always after a warning email sent 30 days beforehand.
After how long?
- You have never had a subscription or a booking: 3 years without activity.
- You have already had a subscription or a booking: 5 years without activity.
What counts as activity?
Each of these actions resets the clock:
- logging in to the website or the app;
- clicking a link in one of our emails;
- tapping an app notification;
- creating an alert for a car park.
How will you be notified?
You will receive an email 30 days before the deletion date, at the address linked to your account. It reminds you which address is concerned, gives the exact date and contains a login link.
To keep your account, simply log in before that date. There is no need to contact Customer Service. If you have forgotten your password, the email also contains a link to reset it.
Here is what this email looks like. The information shown here is only an example:
It is sent from a Zenpark address and never asks for your password, your bank details or any payment. If a message claims to be this email and asks you for any of this information, do not reply and report it to our Customer Service.
What happens on the stated date?
Your personal data is permanently erased: name, email address, phone number, postal address, number plates, devices, bank details and car park alerts.
This cannot be undone. Neither you nor our Customer Service can restore the account afterwards. We only keep the documents that the law requires us to retain, including your invoices.
Which accounts are not affected?
An account is never deleted automatically in any of these cases:
- an ongoing subscription or an upcoming booking;
- an unpaid invoice;
- a badge or remote control that has not been returned;
- access shared with a family member (Family Account);
- a professional role: car park owner or manager, business account, installer.
